Dear Neighbor:

The purpose of this letter is to invite you to a meeting about upcoming activities to be conducted at the former Texaco Beacon Research Center located in Fishkill, NY. The meeting will be held on April 13, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fishkill Recreation Center (793 Route 52 in Fishkill, NY).

As part of the ongoing environmental remediation work at the site, Chevron (which acquired Texaco in 2001) will begin the process of removing buildings starting in spring 2010. We recently selected a qualified contractor to safely conduct the work and we are working with the Town of Fishkill to obtain the necessary permit approvals. Representatives from Chevron and its contractors will be on hand to talk about our work plans and answer your questions.

Chevron is committed to conducting all work with adherence to the highest standards of health and safety. We intend to complete the building removal project in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. This means maximizing opportunities to recover and re-use building materials and equipment and minimizing off-site disposal of waste materials.

The potential future use or timing of any future development of the site is not yet known, so our focus at the meeting will be on 2010 activities. Chevron is working through the site closure process required by state and federal regulatory agencies that will set the stage for future development.

The company will strive to provide timely updates about our activities. We have established a website (www.glenhammills.com) to keep interested parties apprised of our progress and specific developments as they occur. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at (713) 432-2634 or by e-mail.

Sincerely,

Mark Hendrickson
Project Manager, Chevron
