Chevron presents check to the Village of Fishkill: (L to R) Craig Butler, Dean Schofield – Village of Fishkill Fire Chief, Mike Lawler, Rad Wilson – Village of Fishkill Deputy Fire Chief, and Mark Hendrickson

FISHKILL – Chevron continues its support of the local community by presenting three local organizations with donation checks immediately preceding the Citizens Advisory Panel (CAP) meeting at Beacon High School on November 12.

Chevron has been a member of the community since 1931 and is currently remediating the property at the former Beacon Research Center near the firehouse.

Craig Butler and Mark Hendrickson of Chevron presented Beacon City School Superintendent Dr. Paul Dorward and Board of Education President Melissa Thompson with a check for $1,500 at Glenham Elementary School.

“The former Texaco Research Center in Beacon has been a proud member of this community for more than 80 years,” said Mark Hendrickson, Chevron Environmental Management Company. “We are committed to being a good corporate neighbor and we are pleased to make contributions that benefit the local community.”

Craig Butler, Mark Hendrickson and Mike Lawler of Chevron presented Dave Dross, Fire Chief, of the Glenham Fire District with a check for $2,155. The donation will help support the purchase of updated turnout gear for the Glenham Fire Department.

Chevron also presented Dean Schofield, Fire Chief, Village of Fishkill, with a check for $8,845 to be used toward the purchase of a new thermal imaging camera for the Department.

Over the years, Chevron has provided financial support for many local initiatives and looks for ways to assist communities where it does business.
