On January 31, 2018, the Working Group met at the Slater Chemical Fire Hall to review the draft charrette report summary that will be presented to the larger public in March. This was the fourth and final Working Group meeting.
The meeting opened with a safety moment and an outline of the evening’s agenda. The majority of the meeting was spent reviewing and discussing the draft report, and getting comments and additional input from the Working Group. There was also discussion around the establishment of Guiding Principles and Implementation Strategies for redevelopment.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to submit any other additional comments for inclusion into the final report. The final report will be released at the public forum on March 14, 2018. It will include extensive information about the site, such as its geology, hydrology and land uses over time, an understanding of the current real estate market and potential conceptual scenarios for redevelopment. We encourage all who are interested to attend this meeting.
