Below is a summary of activities during the last month related to the former Texaco Beacon Research Facility.
Environmental Update
The 10-year engineering assessment of the dam was initiated in November, and no anomalies were detected from those activities. Due to high flows, more work will need to be conducted in the Spring of 2022 to complete the assessment. We continue to keep the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) apprised of our progress. We also continue to work on preparing the draft Feasibility Studies for the site, which are the next major deliverable to NYSDEC.
Real Estate Update
The site continues to be listed for sale. There is no real estate update at this time.
